Sunnatullah-Assgnment islamic worldview

Sunnatullah is also known as law of the nature, law that created by the only one God. We as a Muslim have to also obey in term of sunnatullah, without obeying to sunnatullah, life of a Muslim will not be complete. Muslims have to follow the syariah according to the sunnatullah example for a student, they have to study hard to excel for their academic and also excel in submitting himself or herself through His syariah such as salah,fasting and etc.

We can learn about sunnatullah through history, how can we learn? and what is related between sunnatullah and history? Normally people will imagine that history is a boring subject. in the way of stereotype to interpreted history is story that already past, hard to link it with the present or why it is so importance to give an attention to history. In our education system had been influence be the orientation of examination, history been analyze with a way that so narrow from the innovative way that can make people realize.

What is the true characteristic of history? is it as above mentioned? if the characteristic f history is boring, then a quarter of of Alquran is a boring topic. Alquran that is progressive, motivation to excel, brings up an aspect of history as the main body. Besides the ayah that related of aqidah, hukum and akhlaq,Quran itself present question about history in it.

Alquran had given a special definition to history, Alquran give the highest place to history because it is a wasilah for mankind to hear, learns the word of Allah about sunnatullah. The meaning of this sunnatullah is the law or hukm of Allah that being applied and happens to every scene and life in this world (sunnatulllah fee al-Kaum wa al-Hayah).

Because of that,Ibn Khaldun(1332-1406M/732-808H) stated in his well known muqaddimah with explanation of the importance of history. He stresses that with history, we can learn about sunnatullah fe al-Kaum wa al-Hayah. With deep knowledge of this sunnatullah, the history become valuable and with that value it will link history with the next generation. in other way, although the generation changing from time to time, mankind and this world will still be the same by following the fixing of Allah. They will gain a deeds if they follow a good sunnah and that choose to repeat the bad history![muqaddimah Ibn khaldun, page 8, Dar al-Kutb sl-Ilmiyyah,Beirut 1993/1994]
